Which agent do I need?
Workforce Monitor Agent
Runs quietly on each employee's computer and sends work activity, heartbeats and screenshots (per your organization's policy) to Work → Workforce Devices.
Install it on every employee computer you want to monitor.
Version 0.2.2 · Windows, macOS, LinuxTally Sync Agent
Connects AtulyamOne to your Tally so ledgers, items and vouchers stay in sync. Tally has no internet connection of its own, so this small program sits next to it and passes data both ways.
Install it once — on the computer where Tally runs (recommended), or any computer on the same office network as Tally.
Version 0.1.0 · Windows, macOS, LinuxWorkforce Monitor Agent
Runs quietly on each employee's computer and sends work activity, heartbeats and screenshots (per your organization's policy) to Work → Workforce Devices. Install it on every employee computer you want to monitor.
Before you start
Have these ready — it makes the setup take just a few minutes.
- An AtulyamOne organization with the Work Management module switched on.
- An administrator who can open Work → Workforce Devices (the "Manage workforce devices" permission).
- A one-time enrollment token for this employee — in Work → Workforce Devices click "Enroll Device", pick the employee, then copy the token. Each token works once, on one computer.
- Your AtulyamOne web address (the URL you use to log in, e.g. https://yourcompany.example.com).
- An internet connection on the employee's computer.
Workforce Monitor Agent for Windows
Works on: Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit
How to install
- Download the Windows installer and double-click it.
- If Windows shows "Windows protected your PC", click "More info", then "Run anyway". This appears because the installer is not code-signed yet — it is safe.
- Follow the installer: click Next, keep the suggested folder (or choose another), then Install and Finish.
- Open "AtulyamOne Workforce Monitor Agent" from the Start menu. A small Setup window appears.
- Paste your AtulyamOne web address into "Platform URL" and the enrollment token into "Enrollment Token", then click "Enroll This Device".
- The window closes and the Atulyam icon appears in the system tray (bottom-right, near the clock). The agent now starts automatically every time the computer is switched on.
- Check Work → Workforce Devices in AtulyamOne — the computer moves from Pending to Active within a few minutes.
Having trouble?
Our support team asked for the agent’s log file.
Press Windows + R, paste the line below, and press Enter. A folder opens — send the newest "agent-…log" file to support.
Workforce Monitor Agent for macOS
Works on: macOS 11 Big Sur or later
How to install
- Download the file for your Mac and double-click it. A window opens showing the app and an Applications folder.
- Drag the AtulyamOne Workforce Monitor Agent icon onto the Applications folder.
- Open the Applications folder and double-click the app. If macOS says it "cannot be opened", open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down and click "Open Anyway".
- If macOS instead says the app "is damaged", open the Terminal app, paste the command shown below this list, press Return, then open the app again. (macOS marks every downloaded file this way until it is cleared — the app is not actually damaged.)
- In the Setup window, paste your AtulyamOne web address and the enrollment token, then click "Enroll This Device".
- When asked, allow "Screen Recording" for the app in System Settings → Privacy & Security, then quit the agent from the menu bar icon and open it again. Without this the agent cannot see window titles or take screenshots. (Accessibility is not needed.)
- The Atulyam icon appears in the menu bar at the top of the screen. Check Work → Workforce Devices in AtulyamOne — the Mac shows as Active within a few minutes.
Having trouble?
macOS keeps asking for "Screen Recording", or the switch is already on but the agent still can’t see window titles.
macOS is holding on to the permission from an older version of the agent. This can happen once after an update. Open Terminal, paste the command below, press Return and type your Mac password if asked (nothing appears while you type). The agent reopens — when asked, allow Screen Recording in System Settings and choose "Quit & Reopen".
macOS asks to allow "Accessibility" for the agent.
Current versions of the agent do not need Accessibility — you are running an old version. Download and install the latest version above, replacing the old one in Applications. You can then remove the agent from System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility.
Our support team asked for the agent’s log file.
Open Terminal, paste the command below and press Return. A Finder window opens — send the newest "agent-…log" file to support.
Workforce Monitor Agent for Linux
Works on: 64-bit Ubuntu 20.04+, Debian 11+ or similar, with an Xorg (X11) desktop session
How to install
- Ubuntu/Debian: open a Terminal in your Downloads folder and run the install command shown below this list (it installs the agent and the small tools it needs). Enter your password when asked.
- Other distributions: right-click the .AppImage → Properties → Permissions, tick "Allow executing file as program", then double-click it.
- Make sure you are logged in with an Xorg session — on Ubuntu, click the gear icon on the login screen and choose "Ubuntu on Xorg". Activity tracking and screenshots do not work under Wayland.
- Open "AtulyamOne Workforce Monitor Agent" from your applications menu. In the Setup window, paste your AtulyamOne web address and the enrollment token, then click "Enroll This Device".
- The Atulyam icon appears in the top bar / system tray and the agent starts automatically at every login. Check Work → Workforce Devices in AtulyamOne — the computer shows as Active within a few minutes.
Having trouble?
Our support team asked for the agent’s log file.
Open a Terminal, paste the command below and press Enter. A folder opens — send the newest "agent-…log" file to support.
- Employees in regions that require monitoring consent will see a notice on the AtulyamOne web portal; capture stays paused until they accept it there.
- If your administrator has set an exit password in AtulyamOne, the agent asks for it before it can be closed or uninstalled.
Tally Sync Agent
Connects AtulyamOne to your Tally so ledgers, items and vouchers stay in sync. Tally has no internet connection of its own, so this small program sits next to it and passes data both ways. Install it once — on the computer where Tally runs (recommended), or any computer on the same office network as Tally.
Before you start
Have these ready — it makes the setup take just a few minutes.
- TallyPrime or Tally.ERP 9 installed, open, with your company loaded. Tally must stay open while syncing.
- Tally's XML/ODBC port switched on: in Tally go to Help (F1) → Settings → Connectivity, set "TallyPrime acts as" to Server (or Both) and note the port (default 9000).
- In AtulyamOne: Settings → Tally Integration — turn on Tally Sync, enter the "Tally Company Name" exactly as Tally shows it, then click "Generate Token" under Sync Agent Pairing Token. Copy the token.
- Your AtulyamOne web address (the URL you use to log in).
- An internet connection on the computer that will run the agent.
- Nothing else — Node.js or other software is not needed; the download is a single ready-to-run program.
Tally Sync Agent for Windows
Works on: Windows 10/11 or Windows Server 2016+, 64-bit — recommended, since Tally runs on Windows
How to install
- Download the .zip. Right-click it → "Extract All…" and extract to a simple folder such as C:\TallySyncAgent.
- In that folder, right-click config.example.json → Copy, then Paste, and rename the copy to config.json.
- Right-click config.json → Open with → Notepad. Replace the web address after "platformBaseUrl" with your AtulyamOne address, and the text after "agentToken" with your pairing token. Keep the quotation marks. If Tally uses a port other than 9000, change it in "tallyUrl". Save and close.
- Double-click tally-sync-agent.exe. If Windows shows "Windows protected your PC", click "More info" → "Run anyway".
- A black window opens and shows each sync. Leave it open (you can minimise it).
- Back in AtulyamOne, Settings → Tally Integration now shows the status as "Connected".
Tally Sync Agent for macOS
Works on: macOS 11 or later — only when Tally runs on another computer on your network
How to install
- Download the file for your Mac. Double-click it in Downloads — macOS extracts it into a folder.
- Move that folder somewhere permanent, e.g. your home folder, and rename it TallySyncAgent.
- In the folder, duplicate config.example.json (right-click → Duplicate) and rename the copy to config.json. Open it with TextEdit and fill in your AtulyamOne address, pairing token, and in "tallyUrl" the address of the Tally computer, e.g. http://192.168.1.20:9000. Save.
- Open the Terminal app and run the commands shown below this list. They open the folder, clear the "downloaded from the internet" flag, and start the agent.
- Leave the Terminal window open while syncing. Settings → Tally Integration in AtulyamOne shows the agent as connected.
Tally Sync Agent for Linux
Works on: Any 64-bit (x86_64) Linux — only when Tally runs on another computer on your network
How to install
- Download the .tar.gz and extract it with the first two commands below (they put the agent in /opt/tally-sync-agent).
- Create config.json from the example and fill in your AtulyamOne address, pairing token, and in "tallyUrl" the address of the Tally computer, e.g. http://192.168.1.20:9000.
- Start the agent with the last command. Settings → Tally Integration in AtulyamOne shows it as connected.
- To keep it running after reboots, set it up as a systemd service — INSTALL.txt inside the archive has a ready-made service file.
- Changing settings later: edit config.json and restart the agent — no reinstall needed.
- Logs are written to the logs folder next to the program; send them to support if something does not sync.
